Following the success of last year’s British Eventing Masterclasses, starting in October our unmounted training series is back with even more coaches and in more locations. With the British Eventing season drawing to a close it is the perfect time to soak up the knowledge of some of the country’s top coaches as they demonstrate a Masterclass in ‘cross country riding for success’. From Devon to Yorkshire, five highly respected BE Accredited Coaches will be hosting nine Masterclasses at indoor arenas on the importance of correct cross country training, aimed at delivering an educational look at cross country riding at all levels. The Masterclasses are open to non-BE members and BE members and will appeal to anyone who has an interest not only in eventing, but equestrian sport in general. On the 17th October 2016, popular BE Accredited Master Coach and Fellow of the British Horse Society Nick Gauntlett, will kick things off at The Grange in Devon for an informative and entertaining evening. Eight further Masterclasses will follow hosted by the hugely experienced and well known coaches Chris Bartle, Eric Smiley, Lucinda Green and Yogi Breisner. Each evening will be split into three sections to demonstrate the difference in the expectation and technicality of cross country courses at various levels and demonstration riders will perform live the exercises and training required for each: Part 1 – The opening section will cover exercises relevant to first time eventers up to Novice level Part 2 – The second section will cover exercises suitable for Intermediate/2*/3* Part 3 – The third and final section will be provide a showcase of top level sport with exercises to challenge both horse and rider combinations at the higher levels The unmounted Masterclasses, supported by clothing partners Treehouse Sporting Colours, offer guests an experienced coaching display along with ideas and tips to take home, including exercises that will educate horse and rider with the ultimate aim to provide riders with the tools to enjoy safe and successful cross country riding.
