The final line-up of twenty-four up and coming stars of the future has been confirmed for the Dodson & Horrell World Class Programme U23 British Championship Final, which will take place at Olympia, The London International Horse Show, during the morning performance of Saturday 17 December 2016.
The final line-up sees last year’s winner, Chloe Winchester return to defend her title, this time on board Haity McNerney’s Belle Fleur 38. Sisters Pippa and Millie Allen will both be in competition again, with Pippa heading into it with a win at the Aintree qualifier in October, where she topped a competitive class placing ahead of Graham Gillespie and Miles O’Donnell who both will line-up against her next week.
European Pony gold medallist Jack Whitaker, son of Rio 2016 Olympian Michael Whitaker, will also head into the competition; last month he recorded a fantastic win at Addington Equestrian Centre on board Street Hassel with whom he partners at Olympia.
Sam Horrell, CEO at Dodson & Horrell says: “We are looking forward to an exhilarating show at Olympia – which always starts the Christmas celebrations in fine style. The Under 23 Championships is a highly competitive class and this year is no exception, with an excellent line up of young talent who will be battling it out to take home the prestigious award. We would like to wish all competitors the very best of luck.”
Performance Manager Di Lampard says; “There are some exciting young partnerships and we will have our best young riders competing in the final. They have all worked very hard to get to Olympia but they also want to go there to win so it will be full of top class competition.”
