As the New Year draws closer, the countdown to the 2017 season has started and begins with the announcement of the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) 2017 showing qualifiers which are listed on the HOYS website here: http://hoys.co.uk/competitor-zone/showing-qualifiers/
Competitors up and down the country will contest the qualifiers, held between March and September, in a bid to secure their place at “The World’s Most Famous Horse Show” which takes place from 4-8th October 2017 at the Genting Arena, Birmingham’s NEC.
New for this year we have introduced a large breeds section to the Junior Mountain and Moorland Ridden Pony of the Year Championship following the successful introduction of the Small Breeds section last year. By incorporating the large breeds in this Championship, it presents more opportunity for junior riders to compete at the pinnacle showing event of the year.
Once again, all results from HOYS qualifiers will be entered into the league tables for the HOYS Awards Series. These prestigious Awards recognise and honour those who perform consistently well throughout the qualifying season. An announcement regarding the awards will be released in due course.
