The newly formed International Polo Association (IPA) has launched as a leadership body and platform to work with and represent individuals who have an international association with the sport of polo.
The IPA has formed due to demand by stakeholders to unite member interests and provide a platform and collaborative voice for those who have an association with the sport of polo. Its purpose is to make positive changes for the reform and growth of the sport. The IPA is made up of players, patrons, professionals, grooms, clubs and commercial partners. The IPA works for and on behalf of its members, in the interests of the game of Polo.
All international stakeholders are invited to join the IPA’s initial consultation, which will instruct the reform process, determine the constitution of the IPA, alongside setting the primary agenda and actions for 2017.
The IPA commented, “Leadership initiatives, movements and organisations like the IPA utilise collective action to effect positive change. The IPA will represent member interests with their common consent in both their domestic territory and international markets and where applicable lobby for reform. The IPA stands firmly by its commitment to be the members’ voice and to operate independently in the best interests of the members and the sport.”
All international stakeholders in the sport of Polo are invited to join the consultation which will have a significant impact on the sport at large. The consultation starts April 2017 where stakeholders can register to be included at www.internationalpoloassociation.com.
