The Solar powered floodlight provides equestrians with an alternative to electric lighting and a reliable solution for outdoor areas including manèges, paddocks, stable yards and sports fields.
“Over the past 18 months we have developed, trialled and showcased the new SolarMate Arena Light to equestrians across the country. This feedback has been an invaluable part of the product development process and we are thrilled that we can now start selling the SolarMate Arena Light to equestrians everywhere,” explained Adrian Williams, Managing Director, Solar Technology International.
The SolarMate Arena light was developed in response to the need for a lighting solution that was quick and easy to install, instant to use, economical and that didn’t need an electricity supply. The resulting solar-powered floodlight system received an Innovation Award earlier this year at BETA 2016.
The SolarMate Arena Light can be clamped on to a scaffold pole or secured to a wall. The lamp head contains bright LEDs and has three angles of adjustment, from horizontal to 30°, it is turned on and off by a remote control or its integrated PIR (Passive Infrared) movement sensor.
An in-built solar cell charges the light’s internal lithium ion battery so the light is ready for operation when needed, providing UK run times of up to six hours during summer and at least one hour a day in winter. Six units will illuminate a 40 x 20m manège for flat work, with more needed for jumps.
The SolarMate Arena light is on sale from the 1 November 2016 at RRP £229 for a single light and RRP £1149 for a pack of six.
